About Us
The Meridian Secondary School Choir is a vibrant and inclusive community where students come together through a shared passion for music. Through regular sessions and meaningful performance opportunities, members develop their vocal techniques, musicianship, and confidence while experiencing the joy of choral singing.
Beyond musical excellence, the Choir provides a nurturing environment where students grow in resilience, teamwork, and communication. Members are encouraged to support one another, take ownership of their learning, and develop leadership skills as they work towards shared goals. Through these experiences, students cultivate a lifelong appreciation for music and the performing arts.

Our Music Director and Conductor, Ms Ho Lian-Ian joined our MSS Choir family in January 2022. She graduated with a Master of Music Studies from The University of Queensland, with specialisation in choral conducting. She is a seasoned Music Director and Conductor. She brings with her a vast wealth of experience in leading and developing school choirs in various primary and secondary schools. Over the years, she has successfully led numerous schools in achieving awards in local and international events, such as the Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging of Choirs, Singapore International Choral Festival and Hong Kong Winter Choral Festival. Ms Ho believes in building a strong foundation in music education through providing musical guidance and direction to choir members. She also advocates developing strong choir leaders and self-discipline among choir members, as well as creating an enjoyable learning environment during every choir session. With Ms Ho’s strong leadership, professional experience and accomplishments, we are working as a cohesive team to inspire and motivate our MSS Choir to reach new heights!

Meridian’s 10th Anniversary Concert
Celebrating a decade of growth and excellence, our choir members took the stage at our School's 10th Anniversary Concert with inspiring performances of When You Believe and Take Flight. Their heartfelt expression and beautiful harmonies captivated the audience, making this milestone celebration a truly memorable occasion.

The Music’s Always There @ SOTA
Our choir members joined forces with two other secondary schools for an exciting public concert at the School of the Arts (SOTA). This unforgettable experience gave students the opportunity to learn from one another, build new friendships, and strengthen their teamwork. The performance showcased their shared passion for music and the rewarding experience of performing together.

An exciting choir exchange at NUS High gave our members the opportunity to discover new techniques and deepen their passion for choral singing. Through engaging activities and knowledge sharing, students learnt valuable skills such as effective warm up exercises and vocal practices, inspiring them to grow as confident and expressive performers.

Hues of Orange – Guest Performance at Our Tampines Hub
In collaboration with The Crescendos, our choir members took part in the second instalment of the PRISM concert series, Hues of Orange, at Our Tampines Hub (OTH). Celebrating the vibrant energy, happiness, and warmth associated with the colour orange, the choir delighted audiences with inspiring performances of Circle of Life and When You Believe.

Arts Jam Carnival – National Day Celebrations
Joining hands with the other performing arts groups, MNO, Band, and Dance, the choir celebrated our nation’s 59th birthday with a vibrant and exciting performance on Arts Day. Through their renditions of The Road Ahead and When You Believe, the performers highlighted the 2024 NDP theme, “Together, As One United People”, while showcasing the power of music and teamwork.
