Where Passion Meets Performance
ABOUT US
Find Your Voice. Discover Your Stage.
At Meridian Drama Club, we believe that drama is more than performing on stage. It is about discovering who you are, finding your voice and having the courage to express it.
Our club provides students with an exciting and enriching experience in the performing arts. While acting is at the heart of what we do, our members are also introduced to the many different aspects of theatre — from set and costume design to lighting, sound and stagecraft. Every role behind the scenes is an opportunity to create, collaborate and contribute.

Through rehearsals, games, improvisation and performance opportunities, our students develop confidence, creativity, communication skills and emotional intelligence. They learn to think on their feet, work as a team, take creative risks and see the world from different perspectives.
Most importantly, we want our students to enjoy the process of creating and performing. Our Drama Club is a space where students can experiment, make mistakes, discover their strengths and grow together.
Learning Through Drama

Rebecca Louise Burch
Our current instructor, Rebecca Louise Burch, has been involved in drama education since 2007 and has worked with students across primary and secondary schools. A Theatre Arts graduate from LASALLE College of the Arts, Rebecca is passionate about using drama to empower young people through creativity and experience-based learning. She encourages students to explore ideas, take risks and develop greater awareness of themselves and others through performance. Rebecca is also a recipient of the Silver Medal from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
At Meridian Drama Club, everyone has a part to play — whether you are in the spotlight or working behind the scenes.

Hear From Our Graduating Thespians:

Charlotte, Chairperson 2025-2026

I never expected Drama Club to have such a significant impact on me. I initially felt more comfortable taking on production duties for SYF and performances.
Over time, however, Drama Club became more than just a CCA — it became a space where I could grow, challenge myself and have fun. What I once found embarrassing became opportunities to step out of my comfort zone and develop my acting skills. I gradually became more confident and found my voice within the club. My teachers, Mr Brian and Mrs Dhanya saw this growth in me too, and their belief in me led to my appointment as Chairperson. Being entrusted with this role showed me that I had grown into someone others could believe in and rely on.
Drama Club has taught me to take risks, encourage others, persevere through challenges and lead with confidence. More importantly, it has given me the courage to find my voice and a community that supported me as I grew. Looking back, I am proud of how far I have come. I joined Drama Club not knowing what to expect, but I leave with confidence, leadership & acting skills, lasting friendships and memories I will always treasure.
~ Charlotte, Chairperson, Apr 2025 - Apr 2026

Drama Club is a second home to me. It changed me a lot as a person.
Since Primary school, I was a pretty shy kid. Once I joined Drama Club, that changed. My self esteem got a boost and I felt way more confident in myself. This was all thanks to the encouragement from my teachers, peers, as well as my instructors.
I am forever grateful for joining the Drama Club. It has shaped me to be the person I am today.
~ Ellouise, Vice-Chairperson, Apr 2025 - Apr 2026

Drama Club has always been my haven where I could truly express myself without the fear of judgement. The enthusiastic, welcoming and tight-knit community has shaped me into the person I am today! I used to be a very timid person but ever since joining the club, I became more open and my confidence grew as well. Drama Club is one of the places where I have made lasting friendships and memories. There's so many fun and sometimes silly activities which lead to shared moments of laughter and joy. If you want to build your self-confidence and vocal skills, express creativity and connect with a group of lovely people then Drama Club is best suited for you!
~ A’liyah

I have always enjoyed being part of Meridian Drama Club because it truly felt like a family where everyone was welcomed and included. Through Drama Club, I formed meaningful friendships with my seniors and peers, and I grew into a more confident person.
The past four years have been an unforgettable journey filled with countless opportunities and memorable experiences. Whether we were preparing for performances or simply attending our regular CCA sessions, I always felt free to express myself and enjoyed working alongside my fellow members.
Our teachers and instructors also played a significant role in my growth. Their constructive feedback, constant encouragement, and unwavering support helped me develop not only my drama skills but also valuable life skills that I will carry with me long after I leave Meridian Drama Club. I will always be grateful for everything the Club has taught me and for the memories that will stay with me for years to come.
~ Yihan, Secretary 2025 – 2026

Being in the Drama Club has helped me grow a lot, not just as a person but my confidence too. Ever since I stepped foot into this club in secondary 1, it has made me more confident when speaking to others and taught me how to communicate and work well with different people.
Through my experience with performances, I also learnt the importance of responsibility, teamwork and perseverance when working with other members. Drama Club has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, become more independent and also develop valuable leadership skills.
Overall, it has been a meaningful and magnificent journey that has shaped me into a more confident, responsible and resilient person and I believe these skills will continue to benefit me in the future. Thank you, Drama Club!
~ Jayden, Welfare IC 2025 – 2026

My journey in Drama Club has been an unexpected but meaningful one. When I first joined, I honestly thought Drama was not for me and even considered changing my CCA. However, being given the opportunity to join the backstage crew for SYF and manage the lights changed my perspective. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
By Secondary 2, I began to feel that Drama Club was truly a place where I belonged. I explored different backstage roles, including sound, which was initially challenging. With the guidance and encouragement of my teachers, I gained confidence and learned to step out of my comfort zone.
More than just learning new skills, Drama Club has given me wonderful friendships and memories that I will always treasure. I am grateful to my Drama teachers, Mr Brian and Mrs Dhanya, and my instructors, Mr Matin and Ms Rebecca, for their patience, guidance and encouragement. Thank you for making Drama Club such a meaningful part of my secondary school journey and for giving me memories I will carry with me.
~ Aidan Batchelor, Lighting & Sound Engineer 2025-2026

Ever since I joined Drama Club in Secondary 2, many of the worries I had seemed to fade away. The club was incredibly warm and welcoming to new members. I loved playing games, taking part in activities, and going for the outings that were organised. Our teachers and instructors were always kind, understanding, and approachable, which made every CCA session enjoyable.
Before I knew it, I was in Secondary 4. Having to leave Drama Club to focus on my studies was heartbreaking. It was devastating to know that I could no longer attend CCA sessions because of remedial classes and extra lessons. Looking back, joining Drama Club was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and the memories and friendships I have gained will always stay with me.
